Natalie at the Guinness Fleadh
15 June '97
Her appearance on stage was without notice, yet not unnoticed. Greeted
by a wildly cheering crowd, Natalie walked across the stage and back
without a word in her graceful swinging manner, which is typical at the
beginning of her performances. She then sang a charming rendition of
carnival. Quite early in the concert she decided that it must be some
Elvis holiday or occassion or something. . . and proceeded to dedicate a
song to him. She also decided that Van Morrisson, who was on after her
and had played the previous night, wasn't playing enough of his own songs,
so she played a few. Of her own songs, she played Jealousy and These are
Days. Perhaps the biggest surprise, and the most mesmerizing part of
Natalie's performance was when she sang Wonderwall. It showed how
much she has grown as an artist and how truly talented she is.
